Hello everyone, sorry for my intense non-updateyness. Finals kicked my butt, especially since I was MOVING during finals week. By time I finished my final on Friday, I was moving into my & Maku's apartment on Saturday. At&t ratted us out of two weeks of internet, 2 weeks later we have Time Warner as of an hour ago!!!

Oh, also, I now work as a caricature artist at the cleveland zoo! Amazing, isn't it? I know, right?! I get to draw cartoons of people all day!!! If you're in the cleveland, ohio area come up to the zoo and get a cartoon!

Meow! That's all the updates for now. Oh, yeah, kitty had to go home, I was allergic to her litter, so she's with my mother for now. Kitty's mom and dad is going to be looking for litter that will not make mom sick. :3 Meow!

My name is Krystel, I'm a sophomore at the Cleveland Institute of Art, my major is Illustration. I has this wonderful boyfriend of 3 years (4 in May 2009) who has helped me through some very hard times in my life.

I hope to be a graphic novelist, but I'd like to do editorial and fashion Illustration, along with storyboarding and concept art professionally. I am totally bummed that Disney laid off like 3k peoples, I really wanted to work for them. But I can still hope!!! I also wouldnt mind working for TokyoPop, or Miramax, or SquareEnix (my ultimate dream) or MistWalker (other ultimate dream, so I can glomp Uematsu-sama).

I used to be one of those weird people who put Japan over everyone else, but after taking a semester of Japanese and being exposed to some great artists everywhere in the world, I feel that Japan is just a beautiful place among beautiful places whose art and history specifically appeal to me because of the goals I have for my own artwork. I also admire a lot of American Illustrators as well as German Illustrators, along with Indian cultures and European Fashion and Architecture. I hope that other anime otaku wannabes will also find their space in the world and become artists, not just people fueled by anime.
